I don't take requests, I don't do art trades.

Uh, I haven't updated this thing in forever. Sad part is, I feel the need to because of the drama about my Mulan painting.

I can deal with the fact that some of you don't feel like the woman looks like Mulan. Because yes, I took some freedom, like with her eyes. I know very well she does not have green eyes, but you know, some Chinese people do have green eyes (the wonders of genetics) so I'm not committing a crime against humanity here alright ?
About the face, I fail with skintones so yeah, I guess skin is too pink. Maybe nose is too big too, I don't know, I had no reference.
I don't feel her eyes are too big though, just look at my Belle painting if you need to see what eye size I give to caucasian people. I was not doing realism there.

So yeah, if you feel she looks too caucasian, I'm alright with that. Many of you have said so, I don't mind people voicing their opinion when they're not too harsh in the way they talk. I'm sorry if the painting offended anyone, because it was really not meant to. I never ever thought it would create a problem when I did it.

But many have been very rude about it. If you're going to comment, the least you can do is remember the basic rules of courtesy, hmm ? Let this be known now, I have a short temper. And I am also very sensitive. I have been labeled racist by someone for this painting, which of course I'm not. Racism is a very grave subject, you can't insult people this way because one of their practice drawings is not to your liking or because their skills with faces are limited. I won't deal with those people, they will be blocked instantly. I blocked my first troll today, sad sad sad. But I think it really depends on the community. On other websites I had no problems at all, people were much more welcoming to the difference. Heck, some girl even told me Disney was said to be racist when they drew their own Mulan, because some people thought she looked too western. Neverending drama, I sayz.

Doesn't make me very keen on posting stuff now. Next thing I know I'll be racist because Goblin King looks too human ?



Anyway, I've been very busy. I'm only finishing commissions I had started in August, and I'm only finding time for them because they have a deadline. I'm struggling a little with my personal life right now, I don't really know which direction to take. I have many things to do but it seems like my motivation ran out, right when I needed it the most. And this kind of drama really doesn't make it better, it tires me to no end.

But I'm complaining about only a handful of people. On the other side, I still have hundreds of watchers that have shown unwavering support. I love you with all my heart, I hope I can show it some day <3
