I'm very excited about this movie :) It's a French animated movie planned to be released this October, and it looks oh so gorgeous. It's about Paris in the 1910s, the great flood and a friendship (or love ?) story between a singer, Lucille, and the monster Francoeur.

I strongly advise you go look at that video I posted on tumblr in which they sing :D You can't not fall in love !

just a quick question: when you use the gradient shading for the pink light effect, how do you maintain the translucence of the layer in some parts? i use gimp, but most photoediting programs are similar.

beautiful work! i am learning so much from it!
