I always bawl when she says that ;___; Triton can be really scary but in the end he turns out to be so selfless. And when he says that the only problem is how much he's going to miss her, I get teary eyed every single time.
And I love how he's so massive compared to Ariel <3

I always loved King Triton. Even though he wasn't being too fair with Ariel, he was behaving and doing the things he was doing because he loved her to pieces. I think it's because she resembles his wife in many ways, plus they both of the same personality set ( funny, stubborn, strong minded, yet selfless.)

That was definitely a touching scene. And hey, if the Disney Triton has anything to do with the ancient Greek Triton, then it's no surprise he'd be a big guy. The Greek Triton was the son of Poseidon, God of the Sea, if I remember my Greek mythology correctly. =)

I wish my dad and I were like that.
Instead he never believes me or does what he says.

Oh man, this image just sprung tears to my eyes. Seriously, SO beautiful, and you captured it lovingly with the emotion and the color. I really love this.
If you want to know something super, super sappy about me, I can't watch the first 5 minutes of Bambi without crying. That really old, dated song they play, as well
as the classic Disney overture-like opening.. it makes me feel so nostalgic. The first time I saw it since being a little kid was about a year or so ago, and my boyfriend happened to come home while I was hugging a pillow and just bawling into it. He hugged me and said i was "being cute". ;)

Best scene in the movie! As much as TLM was about Ariel wanting to be part of the human world and marry Eric, it was even more about the classic pain a father goes through as he realizes he can no longer keep his child safely cloistered.
