I don't know if it's me but I kinda feel like DA has become... desert. Even though I post less I still log in everyday to check everyone's stuff and my messages, but I feel like the activity on the site has declined dramatically, some of the people I followed have even left completely. Hey there !

I haven't updated much recently, sorry about that. I have landed my first real illustration jobs for publishing companies and my workload has literally exploded ! I'm almost done with all this, and I can't wait to show you the results and the books next year
I'll be spending Christmas with my family and after that I'll be leaving for a well deserved vacation in Russia for the new year celebrations, so I'm closing commissions until January !

Hey there !

So I've been meaning to do this for a while now, but today I finally found some time to clear my DA gallery of all the old stuff. I deleted a lot of pics : those who have been stolen too many times, those that did not reflect my style anymore, and those I wished I never drew lol. I also deleted the whole Wishes Comic, because right now all my time is dedicated to paid work and I can't resume it at the moment. But it doesn't mean it's gone forever, I'll re-upload it in a different form when I start working on it again. I just didn't want to let it up because I got too many messages from people who wanted to know if I'd work on it again, and I couldn't answer everyone.

Also, I've been toying with the idea of changing my username, too. Would that traumatize you much, I wonder ? Feel free to give your opinion on that !

Forgot to put that somewhere : no, I do not take requests, sorry :/ I do take commissions, however ! I will probably be taking them all summer and hopefully stop in September, as I hope to get contracts from publishers.

I have received something like a thousand messages about the fancomic I started a (long) while ago, "Wishes", and about whether I was going to continue or drop it. I don't remember replying to any of these, sorry about that The thing is, I moved from my old place a year and a half ago and I lost my comic pages in the process. Well, the pages are not much but I also lost the whole storyboard, and that's really disappointing you see. I had this whole sexy story all planned out, and now that my drawing style has evolved to a point where it's decent enough to look at, it would have been great to draw (when I look at my old art in the comic I just want to gauge my eyes out ha ha. Hum. Anyway.). I haven't dropped it however. I mean, not in my mind, you know. It's just that the lack of time coupled with the need to rethink about the story (and a hint of lazyness) (ok, a galleon) have made it a reaaaaally long process. But I will end this this. His Highness would not have it any other way, and you know how He always gets what He wants.

But uh, yeah, now that I live on my own, earning money has the priority so you will have to be extra patient.

My DA subscription has expired, I had not noticed because my journal skin was still there. But now I'm plagued with ads and "friendly reminders" that I should subscribe again, and that's really annoying... I had not noticed how DA has changed when I was a premium member, but now I do. It is so annoying to have ads everywhere.... doesn't really feel like an art gallery anymore. I used to think DA was THE friendly place for artists but now it's more like a multinational with ads along the highway.

Anyway. I was on a trip to Romania last week, it was nice. Now I'm going to go back to work on commissions, but I think I will soon stop taking them. I have begun making the papers to go freelance and once I get "official" jobs and contracts, added to my part-time, there will be no room for other commissions !  

And sorry I'm not posting more right now on DA. It's not that I'm not drawing anything (on the contrary !), it's just that I don't feel like my new pics belong here. You can see more stuff and commissions on my blog though www.missholly.fr
